Dr Marisa Roncati

Graduated in Classical Literature, University of Bologna, in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, University of Ferrara, and in Dental Hygiene, Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, Boston, U.S.A. Holder of the teaching module “Follow up and post-prosthetic professional hygiene” at the University Master’s Degree Level II in Prosthetics and Implant Prosthetics, Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna (2008-2020).

Teacher at the European Master Degree in Laser Applications (EMDOLA), University la Sapienza, Rome, and the University of Parma, where she also has a position in the University Master’s Degree Level II in Oral Surgery and Pathology. An Ordinary SIdP member, she limits her professional practice to nonsurgical periodontology. Appointed by the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), as a liaison for non-surgical periodontal treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, in several continuing education courses internationally.

In 2010, she published “GET SHARP,” a book and DVD on periodontal instrument sharpening, and in 2015 the book: “non-surgical periodontal therapy. indications, limitations and clinical protocols with the additional use of diode lasers,” both for Quintessence International ed. translated into Spanish, English, Russian, Japanese and Croatian. She is co-author of the Atlas Text: Peri-implant Diseases: Surgical Treatments, published in 2019, also by Quintessence International ed.

She produced a DVD, in Italian and English, on the use of diode lasers combined with non-surgical periodontal instrumentation.
